The GX5-HD (The Murph) is a specialty winch created specifically for heavy craft requiring the holding power of a GX6 in a smaller GX5 footprint. This unit is perfectly suited with our high breaking strain HSC10x250 HMPE Rope Kit. ‘The Murph’ uses the same diameter solid 316SS shaft, transmission, motor, bearings, and hubs of our GX6. This model has been created for XHD loads and structural integrity with a 55mm solid 316SS machined shaft, 10mm frame, and 35mm solid frame stiffener. Thanks to the well oversized gearing and motor this unit can easily be fitted to boats to 65ft +. This unit is available in 24v only.
